May 11, 2018    An Irish Pub with live music

It was Friday night, and since we spotted a pub advertising live music, Rod, Collin, Grace and I walked down to have a listen.  The place was pretty empty so we had our choice of seats.  The band came in, sat down at a table in the middle of the room, took out their instruments, and started playing!  No amps, no microphones, no sound checks!  It was great!

Behind the bodhran, is a guitar.  The fiddler also played guitar and sang.  The tin whistler also played the concertina.  They were excellent!

Here's a sample:  https://youtu.be/I63p-Snp5Pc

Grace went with a Sprite/Grenadine and Collin, a Guinness.  I asked for a Fuzzy Navel and the bar tender scrunched up his face in confusion and said "a who?"  They don't do a lot of froo froo drinks in small town Irish Pubs.
