April 23, 2018        Harlech, Wales

Sunday was a travel day from England to Wales.  The drive was lovely with a combination of "normal" sized roads and narrow, hilly roads.

Monday, we braved the windy, chilly weather and went down to walk the beach along the Irish Sea.  The sand is as lovely as Lake Michigan's, clean and light in color.  The beach was enormous, so we suspect we were there during low tide.  We found interesting things, but no sea glass as we had hoped.

Overcast and windy.  Always windy around here.

Looking back towards town.

Simon's found something!

Clare found a Cuttlefish bone.

Beautiful sand dunes with mountains.

Walking back to town.

Dunes

There is a golf course between town and the beach.

Looking at Harlech Castle from the sand dunes.  When the castle was built, the water came up to the base of the rock on which the castle sits.
