March 15, 2018   Walk with Fr. Greg to more churches and a visit to the "Wedding Cake"

Fr. Greg took us to about 8 churches this week, all before 1 p.m.  Boy, can that priest move!   I will post some of the beautiful pictures, but honestly, they start to blend together after awhile.  So much beauty, it overwhelms.

After lunch with our priest friend, Fr. Brad, for he also went on the walk, we went to Monumento Nazionale, aka "the Wedding Cake" (for it's shape).  It's a governmental building that was built for the first king to unify Italy, Victor Emmanuel.  The views from the top are fantastic.

Paul drinking from the well.  Most of us did.  No one got sick.

A miraculous crucifix inside.

The 15th century wooden Crucifix miraculously survived the fire that totally destroyed the church in 1519.

I love this statue!  It was life-size or bigger.

Monumento Nazionale aka the "Wedding Cake".  Can you guess why?
