June 2, 2018 Our Wedding Anniversary
Today, we rested up from yesterday and hung around the house. It was mine and Rod's 28th wedding anniversary, so we went out to eat across the road from our neighborhood, just the two of us.

Collin bought himself an apron in Wales, and decided to model it for us in Ireland.

The restaraunt where we ate. Nice place, good conversation.

These next few pictures need a little explaining. In Ireland, the climate is normally mild. They don't have air conditioning or window screens (not many bugs). While we were there, they had a hot spell and it got warm in the house. What Ireland lacks in bugs it makes up for with spiders! The kids killed quite a few with the biggest one coming from Simon and Collin's room. After that, no one would sleep with the windows open. Collin and Simon had a bedtime routine in which one of them would go get washed up in the bathroom while the other "stood" guard at the open window, allowing some cool air in. Then they would change places and when both were done, they shut the window and went to bed. I found this both ingenious and hilarious!

Simon on duty. He's actually the first one I noticed and a few evenings later, I caught Collin at his post.
What a couple of funny guys! Boy, did we have fun together!
